		<description>Great post. I think of the "laws" of salvation along the same lines. God chooses to reveal his grace to us through the normal means of his word and the sacrements. Salvation is rarely found apart from these. However, the sacrements do not &lt;i&gt;necessarily&lt;/i&gt; convey grace in the case of faithless individuals, nor are God's hands tied by them to where he can't work outside of them.  Likewise, he chooses to &lt;i&gt;guide&lt;/i&gt; our world by means of laws, but he is by no means constrained by them.  I think that when we stress the "ordo salutis," we almost confine God in nearly the same way that we confine him when we think of deistic "laws of nature." But when we really think about it, the laws of nature that we are so used to are no less miraculous than "miracles."</description>
